The standard
Never finished improving.
Zack Hunter has spent years training, competing, earning his Black Belt, building a gym and coaching others. Jiu-Jitsu has shaped more than his time on the mat. It has sharpened the way he approaches business, fatherhood and the rest of life.
He is not interested in standing still. Whether he is coaching a student, running the gym or preparing to compete, Zack is looking for the next thing he can improve.
The balance
Still choosing the hard work.
Being a father, gym owner and coach means that training time has to be earned. The work does not always arrive in a clean, uninterrupted block, and competition has to fit around the people and responsibilities that matter most.
Zack still chooses to compete because challenge keeps him growing. The balance is not about making every day easy. It is about continuing to make room for the work that matters.
The comeback
Gold through the setback.
After deciding to compete again, Zack dealt with a string of injuries that kept him out for almost two years. He kept training and adapting until his body was ready to return.
At the IBJJF Orlando Open, an LCL injury in his first match forced him to change his plan in real time. He won that match and the next two by submission, leaving with gold and a swollen knee, plus proof that the comeback was worth the patience.
